T-Deck Compatibility In Progress

I am in the process of porting ChatterBox firmware to the T-Deck and a few other devices that are already available (or soon will be) from multiple manufacturers. A few screenshots of the T-Deck version are shown here. As you can see, this is a much more modern-looking UI, with screen swiping and other nice features.

Some notable improvements being made include:

  • Deeply integrated GPS - You will be able to turn location sharing off/on

  • If GPS locations are shared, they are always transmitted encrypted and stored encrypted

  • SD card integration - All your encrypted data can be stored on an SD card, and popped into a different device, no problem. Once your device is up and running, you can optionally remove your SD card, which leaves your private/encrypted data only in RAM, where it’s gone once the device powers off.

  • Not Restricted to USA - Compatible with both 915 and 868 frequency ranges.

  • When a second core is available (as it is on the T-deck), it will be used for cpu-intensive things, like finding paths/etc.

I plan to make the firmware available for download from this site as soon as I have a stable beta version that can be installed on T-Deck Plus and T-beam supreme.
